Careers in Modern Mining: Technology, Trades & Innovation- March 24, 2026

Modern mining is high-tech, innovative, and essential to Ontario’s economy and clean energy future. Students will explore careers in geology, environmental science, heavy equipment operation, engineering, skilled trades, and mine safety — both underground and in advanced control rooms.

From books and magazines to digital media and audiobooks, publishing brings ideas and stories into the world. Students will explore careers in writing, editing, graphic design, marketing, production, and digital content creation. This session supports learning in English, Media Studies, Communications Technology, Business, and Arts programs, while highlighting both creative and business pathways.

Careers That Bring Stories to Life: Publishing & Media- March 25, 2026

From books and magazines to digital media and audiobooks, publishing brings ideas and stories into the world. Students will explore careers in writing, editing, graphic design, marketing, production, and digital content creation. This session supports learning in English, Media Studies, Communications Technology, Business, and Arts programs, while highlighting both creative and business pathways.

Students will explore careers in paramedicine, firefighting, policing, emergency management, dispatch, and public safety communications. This session connects to Health & Physical Education, Social Sciences, Law, Cooperative Education, SHSM (Health & Wellness, Justice), and community partnerships. Students will learn about education pathways, physical and interpersonal skill requirements, and the teamwork behind emergency response.
